When you feel confident in your smile, you interact differently with the world. It can make a difference in how you behave in professional settings, socially, and in virtually every facet of your life. Veneers can transform your appearance, boost your confidence, and may even improve the health of your teeth.
Dr. David Basar at Advanced Smile Dentistry in Toms River, New Jersey, offers veneers to those who are appropriate candidates. If you’d like to learn more about veneers, first keep reading, then schedule an appointment for an evaluation and to learn more.
Your dental problems
Veneers are a flexible solution that can be used to address several different issues, such as:
- Stained, discolored, or yellowing teeth
- Chipped or cracked teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Oddly-shaped or irregularly-sized teeth
- Alignment problems
Dr. Basar custom-creates each veneer to meet your needs. Whether you have one tooth that you’d like improved or several, we can help. Regardless of size or shade, we can match your existing teeth.
Once you’ve made the decision, you don’t want to wait. In order to transform your smile with veneers, all you need are two visits to our office.
During your first visit, Dr. Basar evaluates your situation and your goals, and suggests what he can do to help. Once you’ve arrived at a decision, he gets your teeth ready for your veneers by removing a small amount of enamel from the surface. The amount that is removed is about the same thickness as a contact lens.
When your teeth are ready, Dr. Basar makes a mold of them. He uses the mold to make veneers designed specifically for your teeth.
During your second visit, Dr. Basar places your veneers. First, he thoroughly cleans your teeth, does a final prep, then permanently bonds your veneers to your teeth. He uses a specialized dental cement and hardens it with ultraviolet light.
Voilá! Your new smile is ready to show off!
Getting veneers made just for you is easy, and so is taking care of them once they’re placed and you’re loving your new smile.
Veneers resist staining better than your natural teeth, and they look great without the need for more invasive dental work. For some people, veneers add strength as they are another layer between your teeth and the world.
Even better, you can expect your new smile to last up to 15 years, as long as you brush twice a day, floss daily, and schedule professional dental cleanings — the same way you care for your natural teeth!
